Minutes From The June 19, 2007 Board Meeting

 

Meeting Attendance:  Kim Breeding, Mike Dillon, Lewis Jones Jr, Gary Kerns, Harvey Poynter, Judy Poynter

 

2007 KSBA Jamboree.  The board decided to serve coffee and donuts at the Sunday morning meeting, Judy Poynter and Kim Breeding said they would pick up the donuts Sunday morning and we would see if we could make the coffee at Galaxy.  Harvey said he would find out if we could get an employee of Galaxy to be at the bowling center from 8:00 AM Sunday till the meeting is over and the board voted to pay the employee if necessary.  Association members able to work the workshop and tournament on Saturday July 14 are to meet at Galaxy at 12 noon and at 8:00 AM for the Sunday July 15 meeting.

 

Lane Inspections.  The board set Saturday August 4 or Sunday August 5 at 9:00 AM for the board members to conduct the lane inspections at Galaxy.  Lewis will check with Galaxy to set the date.

 

Welcome Back Tournament.  The board discussed the Welcome Back Tournament, deciding to hold a no-tap tournament on Saturday August 18 at 1:00 PM at Galaxy.  The entry fee will be $15.00 with the bowler bowling 4 games and discarding the lowest game.  Prize money will be award to 1 out of every 5 entries with men and women receiving separate payouts.  Lewis will check on a flyer for the tournament.

 

Bulletin Board.   Kim Breeding said she would check on a bulletin board for the association and get prices for the boards.

 

KY State Bowling Association Hall Of Fame.  The board discussed who our association should nominate from our association to the KSBA Hall Of Fame.  Harvey suggested nominating Jack Noe and the board voted to nominate Jack at the Jamboree.

 

Posting Meetings and Tournaments.  The board discussed posting our meetings and tournaments.  The dates are currently posted on our website and will be posted on our new bulletin board.  Gary suggested posting on richmondKYevents.com, Lewis said he would check on it.  The Richmond Register also has a community meetings page which we could look into posting association events.
