Board Of Directors Meeting

John
Beranek called the meeting to order. A
motion to dismiss with the reading of the minutes got a second and passed. Lewis Jones Jr asked the members about which
bracket program to get after getting more information about the differences in
the Brackman Standard and Pro version.
After a discussion on what we would need to handle the state tournament
John Poynter said he would look over the differences and get back to the
board. John then went over the state
tournament check list Corky Steinmetz had sent. Mike Moody showed logos for the state tournament towels to the
members. Carla Beranek made a motion
for the bowling ball hitting pins logo for the towel. The motion passed. The
members agreed on getting a blue towel with white lettering. The board went over the jobs that the board
members would take care of at the tournament.
Harvey Poynter said he would help with getting score keepers for the
tournament. One score keeper will be
needed for every two lanes at Maroon Lanes and one for every four lanes at
Galaxy Center. John Beranek split the
board members between the two houses for the tournament. Bill Hare explained the hospitality night
cards to the board. The cards are good
for Monday night from 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
Bill gives them to different groups for free to use on a set night for
that group. Bill offered us a night to
use the cards and we could use the cards however we wanted. The board also discussed the Pre-state
Tournament. Check in was set for 9:30
AM and the tournament will start at 10:00 AM on Sunday Oct. 3, 2004. Harvey Poynter and Eli Harness said they
would take care of getting flyers out to the bowling centers advertising the
tournament. The board also discussed
sponsoring three teams for the state tournament. The board decided to talk more about sponsoring teams at our next
meeting. The program book was also
brought up but would be discussed more at our next meeting. The board set the next meeting for October
21, 2004 at Galaxy Bowling Center. The
meeting will start at 7:00 PM.
