MCBA Meeting Minutes

Attendance: Harvey Poynter, Gary Kerns, Judy Poynter, Lewis Jones Jr, Mark Rogers, Ben Conner, Dean Acker, Bev Shearer, Carl Daniels, Terry Jackson, Amy Mayrhofer, Renda Roberts, David Norman, Mike Dillon

Dates and times for the annual city tournament were set at the meeting. The tournament will be held on February 19, 26 & 27 at 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM. The entry fee was set at $20 per event and $5 for the all events. Association President Harvey Poynter said he wanted volunteers for two committees, a bereavement and hall of fame committee. Judy Poynter and Beverly Shearer will head up the bereavement committee and Dean Acker, David Norman, Carl Daniels and Mark Rogers will head up the hall of fame committee. Harvey asked that any nominations for the MCBA hall of fame be voted on at the associations annual meeting in March. He said that the bowlers from our association already in the state and national hall of fames should be on the MCBA hall of fame. Joining the Richmond Chamber Of Commerce was also discussed. David Norman said it costs $225 a year or $20 a month but didn't know if the price would be different for non profit organizations and would let us know at the next meeting.
